A pair of Northern 142's arrive at Lea Green station with a Liverpool bound service. The track was lowered under the Grade 2 listed bridge here to allow for the necessary
clearance for the overhead wires.

The 'Three Queens' event at Liverpool on 25th May saw a special working from Salisbury head to Liverpool to transport people to witness the three cruise liners on the River Mersey. The train departed on its return run at 17.28 from Lime Street and ran via St Helens Junction and the Earlestown curve, to gain access to the West Coast Main Line. 66 109 is framed here by the OLE as it approaches St Helens Junction station, for the record 67 026 Diamond Jubilee was on the rear.

The 3rd May 2015 saw Virgin Pendolino services diverted by the newly electrified L&M line with 1A68 16.43 Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston seen starting to descend Sutton Bank at Lea Green station.

Standard 9F Class 2-10-0 92218 is seen from the box at Carterhouse with an enthusiasts special about to take the deviation line towards Ditton junction. The loco was new to St Philips Marsh depot on 31st January 1960 and was withdrawn from service at Speke Junction 8C in May 1968. The loco had a working life of less than 9 years and was cut up by Arnott Young of Parkgate in July 1968.

A Jinty drawing up to the stop signal on the southbound through goods lines at Warrington Bank Quay station. The first box van in the train is worthy of note being marked up as a gunpowder van.

With the driver and fireman posing for the camera Riddles Standard class 2-6-0 stands at a signal check at Winwick Quay signal box. The loco 76023 was delivered new to Sunderland depot in December 1952 and was withdrawn from Stoke depot in October 1965 a short 13 year life. The loco would finally be cut up by Cashmores of Great Bridge in January 1965.

A classic shot along the Sankey Canal looking from Fidlers Ferry station. With the power station yet to be built the push pull train from Warrington to Ditton Junction makes it way towards Carterhouse.

Stanier Black 5 44906 is seen passing Speke Junction with the Edge Hill breakdown train. This loco was built at Crewe works and released into traffic in October 1945 it was withdrawn from 8A Edge Hill in March 1968 and was cut up by Cohens of Kettering in August 1968.

47 270 of Tinsley depot seen coming off the Low Level line from Ditton Junction No1 box heading light engine towards Liverpool. The loco was new to Haymarket depot on 30th October 1965 and had a long life in capital stock only being withdrawn on 28th February 2007 after over 41 years of service. The loco is currently preserved and based at Carnforth. Since preservation the loco carries the name swift.

Seen standing in the yard at Ditton is 08 402 after the closure of Hutchison Street yard most of the trip workings in the area radiated from the yard. The cement tanks in the background would have been tripped to and from Tanhouse by the loco. Delivered new to Laira depot on 23rd May 1958 as D3517 and withdrawn on 30th September 2008 the loco had a service life of over 50 years. Sadly the loco was cut up by T J Thompson and sons of Stockton.

Seen at Latchford sidings on the 'Ferry Go Round' Railtour are 66095 heading the train with 66197 on the rear. The tour was waiting for 70015 on an Ellesmere Port to Fiddlers Ferry train to run round its train.
