With the driver and fireman posing for the camera Riddles Standard Class 4MT stands at a signal check at Winwick Quay signal box. The loco No 76023 was delivered new to Sunderland depot in December 1952 and was withdrawn from Stoke depot in October 1965 a short 13 year life.
